I am head of HW Fisher’s industry-leading authors and journalists team.

Many of my clients are best-selling authors or household names in the media world, while others are at an early phase of their careers. No matter what stage a client is at, my goal is always to make a significant contribution to their financial security and prosperity by minimising their tax liability.

As well as heading up the authors and journalists team, I look after musicians, record companies, music publishers, concert organisers, composers and agents, vloggers, actors, publishers, broadcasters, film and television production companies, advertising agencies and PR consultancies.

I advise clients on all aspects of personal tax planning in terms of how it affects their personal financial circumstances, including inheritance tax planning, mortgages, pensions and investments. The work covers the entire financial services tax account world they live in.

I joined HW Fisher in 1991 as a trainee and worked for 10 years in the audit team, managing the team in the latter years. I went on to head up the authors and journalists division, when we acquired another practice in 2002, and have been managing that team ever since.

A great highlight of my career was being asked by Levi Roots to write a chapter for his book outlining the work I did for him to manage his finances when he was first setting up his business. Levi remains a client; it’s always very satisfying to be involved with someone’s business from the very start and to see them go on to become successful.
